Pay close attention to restocking fees and return policies. Its a VERY low cost way of making your computer run just as good as a new one would.  Not enough people know how much memory prices have dropped over the last few years. Doing a little more research revealed that this last gigabyte is where video cards and other BIOS gets mapped in.
