PC gaming is and only will be free (sans MMOs). When the next Xbox gets closer to PC gaming, it is going to be harder to justify paying for online service. Yes, eventually Nintendo will get online right (3 generations from now). Sony is quickly closing the gap and could force them to make it free if the PS3 were in the Xbox 360 position..

XBL will never be free, it is a recurring revenue model for MSoft. They won't let it go for anything.

I would say free is everyone favorites. Of course its better to have xbox live free but they earn nothing at all.

like why cant the just make it free microsoft is so damn rich
if they make xbl free ppl will want to buy xbox cuz no one really wants to pay 60$ for live if they make it free microsoft is gana be richer then before cuz xbl is the best sony wii cant beat that come on microsoft stop being greedy
