to me i think xbox live should be free service bcuz the original xbox was but they cut it off n the xbox 360 is not they should at least silver members play multiplayer online to just like the gold memebers are so i would like if xbox live was free just like the PS3 & Wii so plz

Reality is that xbox is not getting pounded by sony's playstation 3 under any circumstances,i bet that if sony makes Playstation network cost atleast 40 bucks for 12 month everyone would choose xbox cuz everybody knows that people buy playstation 3 cuz of its blue ray and free network ,hard fact.

Once Sony (or in some bizarro-world, Nintendo) offers a legitimate
competitor to Xbox Live, then Microsoft will be able to justify making

i find this article complete B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T the whole reason i bought a ps3 instead of an x box is because i don't feel like paying 5$ plus the 9$ for Netflix (for a total of 14$ dollars) when i am paying a good 20-60 dollars for dlc and games on x box live AND WTF WHY ARE YOU SAYING (basically) PSN FRIEND LIST ARE STUPID?!!? PC gaming is and only will be free (sans MMOs). When the next Xbox gets closer to PC gaming, it is going to be harder to justify paying for online service. Yes, eventually Nintendo will get online right (3 generations from now). Sony is quickly closing the gap and could force them to make it free if the PS3 were in the Xbox 360 position..
